Air Berhad Welcomes Students from SMK Gunung Semanggol for Water Treatment Learning Experience

On 20 August 2024, Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIR Berhad), a member of MMC Group, hosted a visit by a group of 60 students from SMK Gunung Semanggol at the Loji Pembersihan Air Gunung Semanggol. The Water Treatment Plant, managed by Aliran Utara Sdn Bhd (AUSB) a subsidiary of AIR Berhad, is crucial in ensuring access to clean and safe water. AUSB supplies the manpower for the plant and is a key partner of Lembaga Air Perak (LAP).

This visit was organised as part of AIR Berhad's dedication to educational initiatives and providing practical insights into essential water treatment processes to ensure the availability of purified and safe water. The visit commenced with a formal welcome by the management team of AUSB, who provided an overview of the company's operations followed by a guided tour of the facility. During the visit, the students were briefed about the history and significance of the Loji Pembersihan Air Gunung Semanggol, which stands as a testament to the company's dedication to environmental stewardship and public health. Throughout the visit, the students engaged with experts, gaining insights of understanding the scientific principles behind water treatment.

The tour concluded with a discussion on the importance of water conservation and sustainable management practices. AIR Berhad remains steadfast in its mission to deliver high-quality water services while promoting environmental sustainability and community involvement.
