On 2 August 2024, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), organised the 'Jom Chill Out 2024' bowling tournament with the Kuantan City Hall at Berjaya Megamall in Kuantan, Pahang. The event was hosted by Khairul Azman Sapwani, State Manager of Alam Flora Pahang. It was aimed at fostering a closer working relationship between Alam Flora and its stakeholders, especially the Kuantan City Hall. Zunizuddin Shamsuddin, Head of Health Department, Kuantan City Hall graciously attended the event and led the City Hall bowling team.
Before the tournament commenced, participants were seen gathering and mingling, providing everyone with an opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed, informal setting.
The tournament featured 2-round format, with participants from Alam Flora and Kuantan City Hall being mixed into multiple teams. Zunizuddin had the honour of inaugurating the event with the first throw. Energised and enthusiastic, all participants eagerly showcased their competitive spirit and talent, exchanging tips and strategies to lead their respective teams to victory. After two hours of fun and exciting rounds, the winning team emerged as Team 1 from Kuantan City Hall comprising Mustafeilah Md Ismail, Mohamad Syazli Alias, Syahmeer Khan Sani Khan and Alif Hafifi bin Mohd Yatim, with individual winners being Md Yuha Ismail (Alam Flora) for male category and Norul Hasanah binti Darus (Kuantan City Hall) for female category. The bowling event concluded with great enthusiasm, showcasing impressive skills and sportsmanship among participants.
This initiative reflects Alam Flora's commitment to building stronger stakeholder relationships and exemplifies its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that support the achievement of mutual goals. It is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) No. 8, which promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all, as well as UNSDG No. 17, focusing on enhancing global partnership for sustainable development. It also aligns with Malakoff's overarching purpose of 'Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities'.
