On 25 July 2024, a total of 280 participants from Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora) and its contractors attended the "Revolusi Landskap KKP: Pasca Akta Keselamatan & Kesihatan Pekerjaan (Pindaan) 2022, and Akta Kilang & Jentera (Pemansuhan) 2022" seminar to keep them updated on the latest safety and occupational acts. Organised by Alam Flora, a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad, the seminar was endorsed by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Kuala Lumpur at the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur
Focusing on sustaining a robust culture of safety and health within the organisation, the seminar was graced by the presence of Ir Zamzurin Maarof, Director of DOSH Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya and Badrulhisyam Fauzi, Covering Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora.
The aim of this seminar was to thoroughly educate Alam Flora's stakeholders, consisting the senior management team, officers, supervisors, employees and contractors regarding the recent revisions of the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) that were implemented on 1 June 2024. The amendments represent extensive changes aimed at improving overall safety and health standards in the workplace. It also provides them with crucial insights and detailed information about the updated standards, ensuring they are well informed and fully prepared to comply with the new requirements.
This initiative is one of Alam Flora's commitment to ensure that employees can perform their duties in a secure environment and return home in good health, reinforcing Alam Flora's dedication to the well-being of its workforce.
