Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport) demonstrated its unwavering commitment to upholding transparency and ethical business practices with the Compliance, Integrity & Legal (CIL) Day 2024. Held at Senai International Airport, the annual event chose "Transparency: Clear Vision, Precise Decision" as its theme.
The importance of a shared vision within a company, coupled with the concept of navigating towards a "true north", was the central theme brought to life during this year's event by the keynote speaker, Tan Sri Abu Kassim bin Mohamed, MMC Group Integrity Advisor and a former Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. Tan Sri Abu Kassim eloquently emphasised the significance of transparency in making informed, ethical decisions. He explained how a company's shared vision guides decision-making, ensuring alignment with core values and ethical standards, which is crucial in today's complex business environment.
The event saw full attendance from Senai International Airport senior management, staff, as well as representatives from various government agencies, airlines, contractors, vendors, and tenants operating within the airport. This diverse representation underscores the shared commitment of all stakeholders to uphold integrity in every facet of airport operations.
Representatives from the Johor Legal Aid Department (JBGJ) were also invited to the event. Mohd Khairi bin Mohamed Said, Legal Officer of JBGJ shared the rights of an accused and legal protection services provided by JBGJ and as part of JBGJ's outreach programme, the team also set up a legal aid corner where participants of CIL Day 2024 could seek free consultation on any legal-related issues.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in insightful sharing sessions aimed at reinforcing the values of transparency, compliance, and legal awareness in the workplace. The event also provided an opportunity for Senai International Airport to strengthen its partnerships with industry peers and governmental bodies, working collectively towards a more transparent and accountable future.
