On 5 September 2024, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), organised a bowling tournament as part of its Jom Chill Out 2024 series with Putrajaya Corporation and Kuala Lumpur City Hall at IOI City Mall in Purajaya. The event was graced by the attendance of Dr. Umi Ahmad, Director of Department of Health and Environment of Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Dr. Mohd Helmi Abdul Hamid, Director of Urban Services Department Environmental Health Division Putrajaya Corporation, alongside Kuit Kheng Keong, Manager of Alam Flora Wilayah Persekutuan.
To foster stronger working relationships between Alam Flora and its stakeholders, participants gathered and mingled before the tournament began, giving everyone a chance to connect and get acquainted.
The tournament featured a 2-round format and was inaugurated by Dr. Umi Ahmad with the first throw. The two-hour event witnessed Group 13 as the winner with Nurul Diana from Putrajaya Corporation and Mahmud from Kuala Lumpur City Hall winning the individual female and male category.
This initiative is part of Malakoff's business pillar, Malakoff Environmental Solutions' aspiration to focus on environmental management and solutions that are dedicated to serving the community and the planet. It is also in line with the UN SDG Goal No. 11, which aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, aligned with Malakoff's overarching purpose of 'Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities'.
