Alam Flora Participates in the Circular Economy Conference 2024 and the Launching of the Circular Economy Blueprint

On 6 August 2024, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), participated in the ‘Circular Economy Conference 2024 and the launching of Circular Economy Blueprint’ at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Organised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) and supported by Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp), the event marked the launch of the Circular Economy Blueprint for Solid Waste (2025-2035), unveiled by YB Tuan Nga Kor Ming, Minister of KPKT.

The event was also graced by the presence of Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib, Chief Secretary of KPKT, members of the federal government, state authorities, local authorities and other renowned industry players. Alam Flora was represented by Ts Ismi Azura Istear Khan, Manager for Recovery & Treatment of Alam Flora Environmental Solutions.

The event aimed at highlighting KPKT’s commitment to advancing the circular economy agenda, aligning with Twelfth Malaysia Plan and supporting the Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat. This initiative particularly emphasises on Principle 4 – Enhancing Environmental Cleanliness, a key focus area led by the KPKT. Participated as exhibitor, Alam Flora highlighted its Fasiliti Inovasi Kitar Semula and circular economy practices.

This participation reflects Alam Flora’s dedication to building stronger stakeholder relationships and exemplifies its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that support the achievement of mutual goals. It is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 17, focusing on enhancing global partnership for sustainable development. It also aligns with Malakoff’s overarching purpose of ‘Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities’.
