On 31 July 2024, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, successfully facilitated a visit for the National Association of Autism Malaysia (NASOM) Gombak, to Farm Fresh @ Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This event, which is part of Malakoff's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, brought a total of 86 participants, including students and teachers from the NASOM Gombak Centre.
All the students of NASOM were thrilled to explore and participate in activities such as the Tractor Ride, Barrel Kids (Mini Zoo), Agriculture Visit (Compost Area & Greenhouse) and Outlet Visit. Such programmes will enable the students to gain exposure and interact with the outside world while gaining experiences beyond their normal environment.
Autism is a lifelong disability that affects a child's learning, language communication, and emotional and social development. NASOM's mission is to provide training and services to children and adolescents with autism, as well as offer support to their families.
As part of its CSR efforts, Malakoff is delighted to share its joy in facilitating the NASOM Gombak study tour to Farm Fresh @ UPM. This initiative reflects Malakoff's commitment to raising awareness and fostering acceptance of autism within the wider community.
