Welcome to the third edition of The Hub for 2025!
Dear The Hub Readers,
As we progress into the third quarter of 2025, we are pleased to share the latest edition of The Hub, highlighting milestones and achievements that reflect MMC Group's ongoing commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
We began the quarter with the MMC Group CEO Awards 2025, a prestigious celebration of excellence held in conjunction with the Group Senior Management Retreat in Langkawi. The event recognised the outstanding achievements of our operating companies and leaders, honouring Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd, Johor Port Berhad, and Alam Flora Sdn Bhd for exceptional performance in productivity, value creation, and profitability. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of Mark Hardiman, Chief Executive Officer of Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd, as CEO of the Year, a testament to his exemplary leadership and dedication to driving PTP's remarkable growth.
We were also honoured to welcome YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister to MMC Infra Padi Sdn Bhd's (MMC Infra Padi) infrastructure development project in Alor Setar, Kedah, undertaken in collaboration with Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA). This strategic Public-Private Partnership plays a crucial role in advancing Malaysia's food security agenda through an innovative approach to rice cultivation. Officially slated to commence on 1 August 2025, the project is already underway as MMC Infra Padi mobilises ahead of schedule, accelerating the first phase in a show of strong commitment to timely delivery.
In Kuala Lumpur, YB Dato' Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dr Wan Ismail, Member Parliament of Bandar Tun Razak was briefed and visited the Redevelopment of Taman Ikan Emas in Bandar Tun Razak. This is the largest urban development project through Public-Private Partnership between Retro Highland Sdn Bhd (Retro Highland) and Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), with the aspiration of transforming one of the high-density residential areas in Kuala Lumpur into a modern, sustainable and inclusive community. Spanning 145 acres, this redevelopment will deliver 5,650 modern residential units under the Quality Sustainable People Housing (QSPH) scheme. Also present during the session were, YB Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa; Minister of Federal Territories; YBhg Datuk Seri Noridah binti Abdul Rahim, Director-General of the Federal Territories Department; YBhg Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Shariff, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur; Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohd Noh, Chairman of Retro Highland Sdn Bhd along with senior officials and project stakeholders. The first phase, known as Residensi Lestari, comprises 1,192 apartment units (850 sq ft, 3 bedrooms) and is on track for completion in July 2026.
