On 31 August 2025, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC group, proudly celebrated Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day with a double victory at the Johor Bahru District National Day 2025 Parade and Marching Ceremony. Johor Port received the “Best Parade” and “Best Banner” awards in the Private Sector Category twice, in 2023 and 2025. The event, held at Dataran Mahkota Pasir Gudang, was a vibrant showcase of patriotism and unity.
Johor Port’s contingent, comprising 25 dedicated employees from the Port Security & Safety Department, was lauded for its outstanding discipline, synchronised marching and spirited participation. Their award-winning banner, designed in-house, proudly displayed the Jalur Gemilang alongside Johor Port’s logo representing a powerful reflection of the port’s deep commitment to national pride and the values of Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni.
These achievements are a testament to the dedication and discipline of the Port Security & Safety Department. Johor Port’s involvement in the parade reflects the company’s values and its strong commitment to fostering national unity and patriotism. The port takes pride in joining fellow Malaysians to celebrate this momentous occasion.
The event brought together more than 66 contingents from various Government agencies, local authorities, statutory bodies, private sectors, educational institutions and NGOs, reflecting a remarkable display of solidarity and national pride.
Johor Port is deeply honoured to have received these prestigious accolades. Beyond reinforcing its role as a key economic contributor, the recognition also highlights the port’s active engagement in fostering community spirit and national identity.
