RATU Programme at Port of Tanjung Pelepas Strengthens Women’s Skills In Personal Growth and Digital Literacy

Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, successfully organised a series of impactful workshops under its CSR flagship, the Harapan Lestari programme – RATU. Held over three days, the workshops covered two key areas, namely Self-Development and Digital Marketing.


In partnership with Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga Darul Ta’zim (YPKDT), RATU empowers 30 underprivileged women from Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang, focusing on the B40 community, single mothers and those facing financial hardship.


As part of efforts to empower women and help them realise their full potential, participants were introduced to a self-development module that focused on holistic personal growth, promoting self-awareness, developing coping mechanisms, encouraging self-care and providing supportive communities.


Recognising the importance of digital literacy, participants were introduced to digital marketing platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. The initiative aimed to educate and guide them on maximising product sales and effectively utilising social media, providing a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools and technologies.


Through these initiatives, PTP aims to equip RATU participants with the knowledge, tools and support they need to transform their ambitions into sustainable, successful businesses.
