Malakoff Strengthens Workforce Wellbeing Through HR2U Day 2025

As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering a caring, resilient and people-centric workplace, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) successfully held HR2U Day 2025, a multi-location initiative organised by its People Division to encourage employee wellbeing, engagement and open dialogue across the organisation.

The programme was rolled out across four key locations, beginning with Tanjung Bin Power Plant on 25 and 26 June, followed by Malakoff Headquarters on 8 and 9 July, Lumut Power Plant on 15 and 16 July, and concluding at Prai Power Plant on 17 July. Throughout these sessions, employees took part in a variety of activities focused on promoting physical and mental wellness, enhancing financial literacy, and strengthening communication between staff and the People Division.

The event featured a range of initiatives such as blood donation drives, health screenings, financial advisory booths, wellness consultations and the Malakoff WELL-lympics Challenge. Strategic partners including Gleneagles Hospital Medini, PMCare, EPF, Bank Muamalat, PROTON, FWD Takaful, ASNB and the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak contributed to the success of the sessions, offering services and guidance that addressed employee wellbeing holistically.

HR2U Day 2025 not only reinforced Malakoff's emphasis on employee care but also fostered stronger rapport between the People Division and employees through two-way conversations and on-the-ground engagement. The initiative reflects Malakoff's broader aspiration to create a supportive and inclusive workplace that empowers its people to thrive both personally and professionally.

Malakoff extends its appreciation to all employees, partners and organisers whose contributions made HR2U Day 2025 a success. Marking its 50th anniversary this year, Malakoff continues to build on five decades of experience and resilience by strengthening the bonds within its workforce.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which promotes good health and wellbeing as a cornerstone of sustainable, empowered communities, this initiative reaffirms Malakoff's commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values wellbeing and collaboration. Guided by its overarching purpose of 'Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities', Malakoff continues to prioritise meaningful engagement and care for its people.
