On 7 August 2025, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed 25 delegates from the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) for a Peer Learning Visit.
The delegation comprised representatives from various esteemed organisations, including Desaru Estate Sdn Bhd, KPJ Specialist Hospital, Petrosains Sdn Bhd, EcoCeres Renewable Fuels Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd and Ranhill Utilities Berhad.
During the visit, Johor Port presented its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) journey and strategy, highlighting key initiatives driving its Sustainability Roadmap. Among the initiatives showcased were the Gate Automation System, Unmanned Weighbridge System, and other impactful ESG efforts led by dedicated teams.
This Peer Learning Visit was organised with the following objectives:
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning among UNGCMYB member companies regarding sustainable business practices.
- Provide insights into members' sustainability best practices, initiatives and frameworks implemented.
- Foster stronger relationships between members to enable potential collaborations and partnerships.
- Inspire and motivate members to enhance their sustainability efforts within their own organisations.
This engagement provided a truly valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and fostering relationships with Johor Port's industry peers. Johor Port believes that a sustainable future is built through collaboration and looks forward to the potential partnerships and enhanced sustainability efforts that this visit will inspire.
