Malakoff Corporation Berhad ("Malakoff") organised the Annual Malakoff Bowling Tournament with TNB GSO, TNB GENCO and Single Buyer on 8 August 2025 at Sunway Mega Lanes, Sunway Pyramid. The event brought together participants from the organisations for an afternoon of strikes, spares and spirited camaraderie that reflected the value of connecting beyond the workplace.
The tournament provided a meaningful platform to build closer ties between all parties. It created a relaxed setting for participants to engage openly, foster relationships and strengthen trust. While there was plenty of friendly competition on the lanes, the real takeaway was the shared values of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship that form the foundation of long-term collaboration.
The occasion was made more memorable with the presence of Mohd Kopli Yunus, Senior Vice President of the Local Generation Division, Anwar Faisal Mohamed Din, Plant Manager of Lumut Power Plant and Md Yuha Ismail, Section Head, Corporate Affairs, Group Communications and Branding. Their support highlighted the importance of initiatives that encourage collaboration and reinforce Malakoff's role as a trusted partner in the energy sector.
Although the tournament featured impressive performances and winning teams, the true success of the day was the goodwill and connection nurtured throughout the event. Activities like this demonstrate the importance of engaging stakeholders in meaningful ways that go beyond formal business interactions.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal ("UN SDG") 17 - Partnerships for the Goals, which emphasises collaboration grounded in shared values and collective ambitions. It also embodies Malakoff's purpose of 'Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities' by strengthening stakeholder relationships and advancing sustainable progress. As Malakoff celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, the tournament stands as a timely testament to the Group's enduring commitment to building meaningful partnerships and leaving a legacy of resilience, collaboration, and shared growth.
