On 21 July 2025, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, was honoured to welcome the Suruhanjaya Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang (SPPP), for an insightful working visit accompanied by the Johor Port Authority (LPJ).
The visit served as a platform to strengthen strategic ties between Port Authorities, explore industry best practices and gain a deeper understanding of holistic Port Management and Operations. The visit began with a comprehensive operational briefing, providing the delegation with valuable insights into Johor Port's role as the Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port. During the session, Muhammad Qamarul Ariffin from the Facility Management Department shared an in-depth presentation on Facility Maintenance Management, the compliance with stringent safety standards and the provision of robust infrastructure to ensure the continuity of maritime logistics operations. This exchange of knowledge facilitated meaningful discussions on operational efficiency, Safety protocols and infrastructure readiness.
This briefing session was then followed by a guided tour to the Wisma Kontena rooftop, offering the delegation a strategic vantage point to observe the layout, facilities and operational flow of Johor Port.
