Johor Port Hosts Bowling Game with Government Agencies

On 11 July 2025, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed its esteemed Government Agency partners to Daiman Bowl, Taman Johor Jaya, as the Freezone & Property Department hosted a successful Bowling Friendly Games. The event aimed to foster camaraderie and strengthen relationships between Johor Port and its partners.


The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as participants registered and geared up, ready to hit the lanes. The event officially kicked off with a special opening gimmick, featuring Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port, Norizam Shah Md Yunus, Council Member of Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang (MBPG) and  Shaharuddin Abd Majid, Assistant Director of the Customs Department Johor Bahru, all rolling the ceremonial first balls.


Following a thrilling match the MBPG team emerged as champions, securing the top spot with an impressive 1,618 points and taking home a cash prize of RM1,500.00 along with trophies. The Jabatan Kastam DiRaja Malaysia (JKDM) Johor team came in second with 1,496 points, earning RM1,200.00 and trophies. Rounding out the top three was the Johor Port Authority (LPJ) team, with a close 1,494 points and a prize of RM900.00 plus trophies.


Individual accolades were awarded to Hassan Hashim from LPJ, Zamzaily Atan from Johor Port and Muhaidin Salilan from JKDM Johor, who were named the Top 3 Best Male Bowlers with scores of 602, 579 and 575 points respectively. Meanwhile, Nurul Atikah Junaidi of MBPG, Roszaleena Abdul Rahman of JKDM Johor and Rita Kartini Mahiran from Johor Port, clinched the Top 3 Best Female Bowlers title with scores 583, 526 and 512 points respectively. Each of these outstanding individual performers received RM100.00 and a medal. Norizam Shah Md Yusof of MBPG was honoured as the Best VIP Bowler and proudly receiving a Bowling Ball plaque.


The event provided a valuable opportunity for networking and strengthening bonds between Johor Port and its Government Agency partners in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
