Malakoff Strengthens Stakeholder Bonds Through Annual Futsal Tournament 2025

On 12 July 2025, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, successfully hosted the Malakoff Annual Futsal Tournament with Stakeholders 2025 at IOI Sports Centre, Putrajaya. The tournament brought together key stakeholders in a friendly and energetic setting, celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship and long-standing partnerships. This meaningful event highlights Malakoff's ongoing commitment to building strong relationships and fostering impactful collaborations with its stakeholders.


The event was attended by Datuk Muhammad Razman Abu Samah, Director General of Unit Kerjasama Awam Swasta (UKAS), Jabatan Perdana Menteri, as well as Dato' Mohd Rodzwan Mohd Baba Sakri, Deputy Secretary General (Air), Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) and Tuan Asdirhyme Abdul Rasib, Chief Executive Officer of MyPower Corporation, whose presence added significance to the tournament.


Representing Malakoff were Anwar Faisal Mohamed Din, Plant Manager of Lumut Power Plant and Yuha Ismail, Section Head of Corporate Affairs, Group Communications and Branding.


The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing PETRA, the Energy Commission, UKAS and Malakoff. In the men's category, Malakoff clinched first place, followed by Energy Commission in second, PETRA in third, and UKAS in fourth. In the women's category, PETRA took first place, Energy Commission came in second, Malakoff secured third, and UKAS completed the rankings in fourth place.


The success of the Malakoff Annual Futsal Tournament with Stakeholders 2025 demonstrates Malakoff's continuous efforts to cultivate partnerships built on shared values and collaboration. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 which focuses on strengthening partnerships for sustainable development, the event reflects Malakoff's commitment to long-term stakeholder engagement. In conjunction with its 50th anniversary this year, it also reinforces the company's overarching purpose of 'Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities' through meaningful connections and collective progress.
