On 30 July 2025, the Fire and Rescue team of Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport) clinched the gold medal in the 'Rush Duo' event at the National Fire Fighter Drill 2025 (NFD 2025). The team, comprising four members of Northport's Fire and Rescue unit, represented the Selangor State Fire and Rescue Department.
Held from 25 to 29 July 2025 at the Eastern Region Fire and Rescue Academy in Wakaf Tapai, Terengganu, NFD 2025 brought together firefighting teams from across the country. Northport's Fire and Rescue team also competed in other event categories, namely Gear Up Rush, Iron Jaws and Titan Rush showcasing their versatility, physical strength and teamwork in high-intensity firefighter drills. The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department was crowned the overall champion of the NFD 2025.
NFD 2025 served as a platform for firefighters nationwide to test their skills under pressure by simulating real-world disaster scenarios. The event provided an opportunity for Northport's Fire and Rescue team to enhance their coordination and response capabilities in high-stress situations and emergency preparedness.
