On 5 October 2023, Kontena Nasional Berhad (Kontena Nasional), a member of MMC Group, participated in the MGTC-MIROS Eco-Efficient Truck Driving Championship 2023 in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS).
Kontena Nasional sent five drivers to participate in the programme held at the Malaysian Road Safety Research Institute Hall. The competition was designed to raise awareness of the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from road transport and to provide drivers with the tools and resources they need to improve their driving habits. Participating drivers learned about the latest technologies that can reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency and enhance safety through proper driving techniques.
Muhammad Noor Zulfiqar, a driver from Kontena Nasional, reached the final round and secured second place in this prestigious championship. Kontena Nasional's commitment to excellence goes beyond winning this competition and ensuring that all drivers are well-trained, highly motivated and equipped with the skills needed to lead in an eco-efficient truck.
