PTP Bags Two Prestigious Awards at HRD Awards 2023

On 31 October 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, was named the winner of the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) Awards 2023 under the Excellence in Graduate Development (Future Worker) and Excellence in Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) category.

 

Held at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur,  both awards were presented to Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP during the HRD Corp Awards 2023 Gala Dinner, officiated by YB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister. Also in attendance was YB V. Sivakumar, Minister of Human Resources.


PTP was recognised for its outstanding contributions and achievements in driving excellence and innovation in the field of human resource development, especially in relation to both award categories.


For this year, 44 industry players who excelled in human capital development at the national level were notably recognised in the award ceremony, comprising three major categories, namely the Human Resources Minister Award as well as the HRD Corp Awards for SMEs, training providers and trainers.


Apart from PTP, some of the biggest winners of the night across a few categories included Maybank, Petronas, Pos Malaysia and Indah Water Consortium.


The HRD Corp Awards is one of the most prestigious and credible events within the HR and training industry in Malaysia,  due to the rigorous selection process, long-standing tradition, esteemed panel of judges, transparent processes, industry recognition and impactful outcomes.


Organised since the year of 2001, the HRD Corp Awards significantly encourages Malaysian employers to utilise their levy effectively to train and upskill their employees.


This annual awards ceremony aims to recognise employers that have not only implemented successful human capital programmes in their respective organisations, but also have contributed significantly to the nation's human capital development landscape as a whole. It also serves as a platform in showing appreciation for the training providers' tireless efforts in improving the training ecosystems and dynamic.
