On 9 November 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, won the prestigious Asia Pacific Procurement Team Award at the Asia Pacific Procurement Awards 2023, held at Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore.
Received by Dr Irwana Abd Malek, Head of Supply Chain Division of PTP, the recognition was given for PTP's impressive performance and contributions to the regional supply chain industry. This is based on high-impact initiatives such as generating 45% in savings from a local fabrication project, to implementing a vending machine for Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) materials and establishing a supplier framework agreement to reduce cycle time and supply risk.
The Asia Pacific Procurement Awards serves as a platform for industry innovators and forward-thinkers, enabling them to elevate their profiles and showcase their exceptional regional accomplishments. From driving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) improvements to providing invaluable insights into supply chain risk. The event honours those who challenge convention, adding sustainable value to their organisations.
Apart winning the Asia Pacific Procurement Team Award at the Asia Pacific Procurement Awards 2023, PTP also won the Procurement Team of The Year - Small Org at CIPS Asia Excellence in Procurement Award 2023 in July this year.
