On 12 October 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, organised a Maulidur Rasul celebration with 100 residents of the Nur Ehsan Nursing Home for the Elderly, Johor Bahru as part of PTP's ongoing CSR Kasih Lestari Programme 2023.

A total of 20 volunteers from PTP together with the residents of Rumah Nur Ehsan carried out several activities such as a Yassin recital ceremony, a short tazkirah conducted by the Imam of Surau At-Taqwa PTP, a gotong royong and get-together sessions with the residents.

All activities carried out were in line with the goal of this programme - to strengthen the relationship between the elderly and PTP employees, as well as part of PTP's ESG empowerment initiative to support the National Elderly Policy by valuing the elderly and recognising the right of the elderly to get quality basic needs. In addition to the above activities, PTP also donated basic food items such as rice, sugar, flour, vermicelli, soy sauce and personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel and diapers.

Throughout the years, PTP has been actively conducting various CSR efforts such as Tijarah Ramadan, Hari Raya Aid Distribution, Distribution of Bubur Lambuk to the community, Back-to-School Programme and many more. These programmes not only contribute to the development of sustainable communities but also serve as an avenue for PTP employees to continuously give back to the community through CSR activities.
