On 27 October 2023, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, held its annual friendly bowling tournament with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (NRECC) at Wangsa Bowl, IOI City Mall in Putrajaya. Aimed at promoting silaturrahim between Malakoff and its stakeholders, the event saw the attendance of Dato' Mohamad Razif bin Haji Abd Mubin, Deputy Secretary General of NRECC and Anwar Syahrin bin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff.
All 60 participants from both companies gathered in the bowling arena to socialise before the tournament started. Dato' Mohamad Razif proceeded to make the first throw, signifying the start of this highly anticipated tournament.
After two hours of friendly competition, Group 9 comprising Dr Amran Alias and Dr Mohamad Hamzi Abdul Azziz from NRECC as well as Mazuin Ima Salamat and Muhamad Sharfiz Shafie from Malakoff, emerged as champions for the Group category. Muhamad Sharfiz Shafie and Mazuin Ima Salamat were announced as the winners for the Men and Women category respectively. Subsequently, this event continued with a prize giving ceremony by Dato' Mohamad Razif and Anwar Syahrin to all winners followed by a photo session.
This initiative contributes to Malakoff's ongoing commitment with its major stakeholders through engagements that showcase strengthening the company's partnership and furthering the spirits of silaturrahim, as to achieve common goals and objectives. Additionally, this corresponds with Malakoff's commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 17, which encourages stronger partnerships to support sustainable development as well as enhance environmental protection.
