On 3 October 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme with Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Taman Awana, Langgar, Kedah by providing a free ferry ride at Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH), Butterworth and Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU), George Town.

These students are part of a program called Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi (PPKI), a programme under the Ministry of Education that helps students with special needs learn alongside their peers. The happiness and laughter shared on the ferry ride, provided them with cherished memories and experiences beyond the confines of the classroom.

Penang Port's commitment to CSR is commendable, particularly with its efforts to support students with special needs. The ferry ride event uniting students, teachers, and parents from SK Taman Awana stands as an example of the company's dedication to giving back to the community.
