On 4 December 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, hosted its annual Long Service Award Hi-Tea event at the Renaissance Hotel, Johor Bahru. The event, themed "Red Carpet", was a celebration to the unwavering dedication and commitment of Johor Port's long-serving employees while also honouring the academic achievements of its employees' children who have excelled in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations.
During the heartfelt ceremony, 12 recipients were presented with Long Service Awards, in recognition of their exemplary service for the past 20 to 35 years. The employees with 20 years of service were presented with a 2gm customised pure 916 gold coin and a certificate, while those with 35 years of service were honoured with a 7gm customised pure 916 gold coin and a Certificate.
As part of the celebration, 16 employees were bestowed with Golden Service Awards in acknowledgment of their exceptional contributions, receiving similar 916 gold coins and certificates matching those presented with the Long Service Award recipients. During the same event, 19 young achievers, children of proud Johor Port employees also received the Flying Colours Award, which included RM500 cash prizes and certificates, for their outstanding SPM results.
The event was made even more memorable by a captivating musical performance from the JPB Band, which serenaded the audience with a delightful repertoire of songs, adding a harmonious touch to the celebration.
The Red Carpet-themed event brought together employees, families and management in a joyful celebration of success, dedication and community spirit, honouring the years of hard work and dedicated efforts of its employees who have contributed not only to the success of the port but also to the success of their next generation. We hope their academic achievements and bright futures will inspire everyone to continue fostering excellence within the organisation and the community.
