On 2 October 2024, Kontena Nasional Berhad (Kontena Nasional), a member of the MMC Group, proudly welcomed the arrival of four fuel-efficient and sustainable Euro V-powered MAN TGS 28.440 6x2 units into its growing fleet. This handover marks the beginning of a collaboration between Kontena Nasional and MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability and the latest technology in transportation.
The Euro V TGS trucks are designed to reduce carbon emissions and enhance operational efficiency, aligned with Kontena Nasional's commitment to adopt eco-friendly logistics solutions. The handover ceremony, attended by key representatives including Nik Muzani Nik Abdul Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of Kontena Nasional, and Andrew O'Brooks, Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia, underscored the importance of sustainability in logistics, with all parties reaffirming their dedication to future innovations.
As part of the company's ongoing fleet expansion efforts, Kontena Nasional also added six Volvo Euro V trucks, received on 24 September 2024, at the company's Kuantan branch. This acquisition further reflects Kontena Nasional's dedication and mission to strengthening its logistics capabilities while maintaining a firm commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
The four Euro V TGS trucks from MAN, along with the six new Volvo Euro V trucks are now part of Kontena Nasional's expanding fleet, ready to meet the increasing demands of clients while contributing to a more sustainable future for the logistics industry.
