On 30 October 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed a distinguished trade delegation from the Netherlands Embassy in Malaysia, led by Jacques Werner, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This engagement highlights Johor Port's ongoing commitment to fostering global partnerships and promoting sustainable trade practices.
The delegation received a comprehensive port tour and presentations from Johor Port's Project Management Office, and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) section on the port's Digitalisation Roadmap and Sustainability Initiatives. The Johor Port Authority, as the primary organiser, also contributed insights into the port's strategic role in Malaysia's logistics landscape.
In his opening remarks, KC Low, Head of Corporate Affairs Division at Johor Port, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and emphasised Johor Port's dedication to sustainable port operations and collaborative international trade initiatives. This visit served as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas on industry best practices and innovations in port management, reinforcing Johor Port's alignment with global standards in efficiency and environmental responsibility.
