Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, recently hosted a high-level delegation comprising of key industry leaders from XIAMEN C&D MATERIAL CO. LTD., XIAMEN C&D STEEL & IRON GROUP CO. LTD. (both based in Xiamen, China) and their local partner, BAHRU STAINLESS SDN BHD, on April 17 2025. The visit marked a significant step toward exploring potential collaborations and strengthening commercial ties.


The delegation included prominent figures such as Mr. Tan Wei Boeh, CEO of Bahru Steel, Mr. Koh Teck Sing, Group COO of Bahru Steel, Mr. Guo Ranming, General Manager of the South China Cluster for XIAMEN C&D MATERIAL CO. LTD. and Mr. Lin Huanxin, General Manager Management Center for XIAMEN C&D STEEL & IRON GROUP CO. LTD.


Coordinated by Johor Port's Key Business Account (KBA) - Conventional Team, the visit featured a comprehensive Commercial presentation highlighting Johor Port's extensive capabilities in handling Conventional cargo. This was followed by an insightful guided tour of the Terminal, providing the delegates with a first-hand view of Johor Port's facilities and infrastructure.


This strategic engagement provided a valuable platform for the delegates to gain a deeper understanding of Johor Port's strategic advantages and comprehensive service offerings. The discussions further reinforced a shared commitment to establishing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. The presence of Johor Port's senior leadership, including the CEO, COO and Head of Finance, further underscored the significance of this engagement to the Port's strategic direction.


The successful facilitation of this visit was a testament to the strong collaboration between Johor Port's KBA - Conventional Team and the BBT Operations Team. Their joint efforts ensured a seamless and productive experience for the delegates, from the comprehensive Commercial overview to the informative port tour.


This visit reaffirms Johor Port's proactive approach to fostering strategic alliances with key players in both the regional and international trade landscape, ultimately driving mutual growth and strengthening its position as a leading port in the region.
