On 7 May 2025, 20 participants from various levels and departments of Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB) gathered at the Executive Hall, Senai Business Aviation Terminal (SBAT) for a one-day training programme titled "Introduction to AI Technology and Digital Transformation." Organised by the Human Resources Department through its Learning & Development Unit, the session aimed to provide employees with foundational knowledge and hands-on insight into artificial intelligence (AI) and its growing role in the workplace.

The course began with an overview of AI technology, helping participants understand its fundamental concepts and evolving applications in daily tasks. Participants were then guided on how to give effective prompts to AI tools and, more importantly, how to "train" them to understand user needs better. By doing so, AI becomes not just a tool, but a highly efficient personal assistant.

The training was facilitated by Roselin Das, a Mass Communication graduate and certified HRDF Trainer, who is also a qualified Professional Digital Marketing Trainer and Mentor. Her engaging delivery and industry knowledge helped and guided the participants in understanding the fundamentals of AI, and its evolving applications in day-to-day tasks.

While the general public often views AI with scepticism, citing its lack of human empathy or the fear of job replacement, participants were encouraged to adopt a more pragmatic approach. As highlighted during the session, AI may not have a heart, but it certainly has speed. "If you can't beat them, train them to help you" was one of the key takeaways that left an impression on many attendees.

The session sparked engaging discussions and practical explorations among the participants. This training is part of SATSSB's ongoing initiative to keep employees up-to-date with emerging trends and provide valuable opportunities to upskill in an increasingly digital world.
