Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, proudly participated in the ESG Art Exhibition 2025, themed “Unifying Communities for Climate Survival.” The event was held at the KLIA Ekspres Arrival Hall in KL Sentral on 18 April 2025, marking a meaningful collaboration that highlights Malakoff’s dedication to sustainability and community empowerment.
Officiated by Norsham Abd Latip, Deputy Secretary-General (Natural Resources) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, the exhibition showcased the transformative power of art in raising awareness and inspiring action against climate change. It brought together a vibrant collective of artists, environmental advocates, corporate stakeholders and members of the public, united by a shared vision of a greener, more resilient future.
Representing Malakoff at the event were Suriati Mokhtar, Head of Group Communications & Branding, and Masleena Hafiza Mahdi, Head of Sustainability, Research and Investor Relations. Their involvement signified Malakoff’s support for platforms that connect diverse voices in advancing sustainable development.
This participation follows Malakoff’s recognition at the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) Forward Faster Sustainability Awards 2024, where Malakoff received the Anti-Corruption Award in the Large Company category and the Pioneer Sustainable Development Action Recognition for its Biomass Co-firing Project, further affirming its leadership in advancing responsible and sustainable practices.
As the company continues to align its efforts with its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals and the broader national climate agenda, initiatives such as this reflect its overarching purpose of ‘Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities’, creating lasting positive impact for present and future generations.
