On 20 May 2025, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, was honoured to welcome Her Excellency Chantal Moser, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia, during an official visit to the port.
Her Excellency was warmly received by Nasution Saad Putra, PTP's Head of Government Liaison & Free Zone Authority. She was joined by Lynn Goh, Vice President for Strategic Communications of Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA).
The visit offered a meaningful opportunity for knowledge exchange, where Her Excellency expressed keen interest in PTP's environmental conservation efforts, decarbonisation initiatives and commitment to female inclusion. She commended the port's sustainability approach and praised our high operational efficiency in handling container throughput. Discussions also touched on possible areas of collaboration, particularly in advancing development within our Pelepas Free Zone.
The ambassador was also given a guided tour of PTP's terminal and facilities, gaining first-hand insights into our operational capabilities, digital transformation journey and long-term sustainability efforts.
Through engaging discussions and meaningful knowledge sharing, PTP together with the Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia and the delegation explored promising avenues for collaboration aimed at enhancing global trade and logistics. By leveraging each other's strengths, the ambition is to optimise supply chains, reduce costs and drive sustainable growth.
