MMC Engineering successfully hosted a Bowling Tournament in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) on 12 April 2025, at Wangsa Bowl, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. The event was officiated with a symbolic launching gimmick by the Secretary-General of PETRA, YBhg. Dato' Haji Mad Zaidi Bin Mohd Karli, marking the start of a vibrant and competitive day. This initiative forms part of MMC Engineering's ongoing commitment to foster strategic partnerships and enhance collaboration with key government stakeholders, particularly those involved in the energy and water sectors.
The tournament was designed not only as a friendly sporting event but also as a meaningful platform to cultivate closer ties and encourage mutual understanding between MMC Engineering and other departments and agencies under PETRA - including JPS, JPP, TNB, IWK, SPAN, and more. It reflects our broader aspiration to build strong professional relationships with ministries and statutory bodies that play crucial roles in shaping the development and implementation of national infrastructure projects.
The tournament concluded with outstanding performances, where Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) clinched the championship title with a total score of 5,349 pins. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) secured second place with 5,239 pins, followed closely by Jabatan Pengaliran dan Saliran (JPS) in third place with 5,228 pins. Individual accolades went to Afiq Basri from JPS as Best Male Player, Ira Nensi from JPS as Best Female Player, and Ir. Mahathir Nor Ismail from TNB as Best VVIP Player. Adding to the excitement, 20 lucky participants walked away with attractive lucky draw prizes, heightening the day's energy and leaving everyone with memorable experiences. The event successfully blended fun and fellowship, reinforcing MMC Engineering's commitment to meaningful stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
