On 30 April 2025, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group proudly announced the achievement of a significant milestone, celebrating 5 million ferry riders. The momentous occasion was marked with a special event attended by Dato Seri Syed Mohamad bin Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port, and Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port.
The celebration, held at Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) ferry terminal, recognised the public's unwavering support and the dedication of the ferry crew. To express gratitude to the passengers who contributed to this remarkable milestone, Penang Port distributed goodie bags to ferry riders.
In addition to celebrating the ridership milestone, Penang Port also took the opportunity to express its appreciation to the ferry crews for their dedication and hard work.
