On 14 May 2025, Nord-Lock Group’s (Nord-Lock) launched its new Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) at the D5 Warehouse, Northport Distripark Sdn Bhd (NDSB). NDSB is a distribution centre with warehousing, storage and other associated facilities managed by Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group. The launch ceremony was jointly officiated by H.E. Niklas Wiberg, Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia; Fakhrul Azhar Tajudin, Chief Executive Officer of Northport; and Graham Souter, Vice President, Head of Business Unit at Nord-Lock Group.
Nord-Lock’s new RDC with a capacity of 539 square-meters incorporates advanced automation systems that increase the handling capacity of the warehouse. The facility will process shipments of precision components for various industries, including renewable energy, automotive manufacturing, and critical infrastructure projects across Asia-Pacific countries. The facility is equipped with sustainable operations including electric vehicle forklifts, recycled wooden pallets and eco-friendly packing materials made from recycled content.
