MAIN EDITOR'S NOTE HIGHLIGHTS IN BUSINESS ENGAGEMENTS CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

On 8 August 2022, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group has been awarded with the best trainer under the category of private agency in Malaysia at “Majlis Tamat Latihan Kursus Sijil Sains Kebombaan (KSSK) Siri 1/2022, Akademi Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Wilayah Timur” which was conducted at Wakaf Tapai.


The event was graced by the presence of YB Dato' Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). The event was conducted in two phases. The first phase was conducted at Penang Port’s Fire & Rescue Station while the second phase was conducted at Fire and Rescue Academy Malaysia (FRAM), Wilayah Timur. During the training, all the trainers went through mental & physical fitness test before officially recognised as a Fire & Rescue officer. Besides that, all the trainers were equipped with the fire & rescue skills such as fire investigation, safety, fire extinguishing method, management & others.


A total of 9 Penang Port Fire & Rescue recruits was awarded with the certificate of completion during the event. Ag Haffiz bin Jefri, Penang Port’s Fire & Rescue team made Penang Port proud as he was chosen as the best trainer under the category of private agency in Malaysia. “I am blessed to win this prestigious award and will continue to serve Penang Port for years to come” said Ag Haffiz bin Jefri.
