Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation (TLJCF) continues efforts in collecting funds for cancer fighters and raising cancer awareness by organising its annual charity event, Laksamana Neon Charity Run 2022 on 6 August 2022 at the Dataran Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
The event, which promotes staying active and contributing charity in a fun way has received overwhelmed supports from more than 5,500 runners and over 50 sponsors including Operating Companies under MMC Group such as PTP, Johor Port, Malakoff and Senai Airport City. From these companies, a total of eight employees were elected to participate as runners in the Laksamana Neon Charity Run 2022.
On 10 August 2022, a Royal Patron Dinner graced by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri Johor and attended by Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim was held to show appreciation towards all the sponsors for supporting the noble causes of TLJCF and help raise funds for needy cancer patients.
During the event, Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive of Johor Port, received a token of appreciation and certificate on behalf MMC Group which presented by Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim and witnessed by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Permaisuri Johor.
The Royal Patron Dinner was also attended by YB Kolonel Dato' Mohamed Perang Haji Musa, Executive Director of TLJCF, YB Tuan Mohd Hairi Mad Shah, Chairman of the Johor State Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperative and Human Resources Committe, as well as Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive of PTP.
As a caring organisation, we hope our contribution will go a long way in helping to raise cancer awareness and provide the much-needed support to cancer fighters and their respective families.
