On 5 July 2022, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Seaport Worldwide Sdn Bhd (SWW) members of MMC Group, welcomed MMC Board of Directors for an inaugural working visit to view PTP and SWW’s latest development and progress.
Welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP and senior management team, the delegation began their visit with an in-depth presentation on PTP’s operational performances, the port’s progress and its on-going development and contribution to the port industry towards the nation’s economic sustainability. Also invited to give a presentation and video updates on the progress of Sungai Pulai Bridge Project was Gan Seng Keong, Head of MMC Group Property.
The delegation was then ushered to the Central Planning & Performance Office (CPPO) for a briefing on PTP’s latest state of the art Asset Digitalisation Programme by Joe Schofield, Chief Operation Officer of PTP. The board members were then brought on PTP’s latest tugboat to view the on-going development projects such as the IPSUM MAGNA - Berth Zero Project, an additional berth development to accommodate increase in shipment, QC relocation and acquisition project as well as the expansion of Pelepas Free Zone Phase 2C development – Tanjung Adang Project.
Upon completing the programme at PTP, they were taken for a site visit to the Sungai Pulai Bridge to get an insight on the construction of the 7.5 kilometres two-lane two-way bridge connecting Tanjung Pelepas Gelang Patah and Tanjung Bin, Pontian by the SWW Team.
The working visit by MMC Board of Directors was an important stakeholder engagement medium for the Management of PTP to share and discuss latest updates and development of the Company with members of the Board
