Ground-breaking Ceremony for Celestica Malaysia Sdn Bhd Development of Electronics Parts Manufacturing Facility in Northern Technocity, Kulim, Kedah

On 27 September 2022, a ground-breaking ceremony for Celestica Malaysia Sdn Bhd was held for the development of their electronic parts manufacturing facility at Northern Technocity, Kulim, Kedah, the industrial development by Northern Technocity Sdn Bhd (NTC) a member of MMC Group.

Celestica Inc. is a Canadian multinational electronics manufacturing services company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, listed on both the Toronto and New York stock exchange. Present to witness the ground breaking ceremony were Rob Mionis, President and CEO of Celestica, Yann Etienvre, COO of Celestica, Mandeep, CFO of Celestica, and management of Celestica, accompanied by Cheong Ah Fatt, Managing Director of Senai Synergy Sdn Bhd. Attendees from MMC Group were represented by Gan Seng Keong, Head, Group Property and management of NTC.

NTC was selected as the site for Celestica’s new electronics parts manufacturing facility is a testament of Celestica’s confidence in NTC’s industrial development capabilities to deliver the project for its operation by November 2023. Senai Synergy was awarded the contract as the builder and lessor of the facility by Celestica.

The inaugural ground breaking ceremony marks a significant milestone achievement by NTC as the preferred industrial development for electrical and electronics industries. Leveraging on the positive spill over effect of the Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), NTC is optimistic in receiving more quality investments and its supply chain.
