On 18 August 2022, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group organized Maal Hijrah Celebration at Rumah Nur Ehsan, an all -Muslim old-folks home located in Kempas Baru, Johor Bahru.

The CSR based program was organized in conjunction with Awal Muharam whereby a few religious based activities consisting of a religious talk and Yassin recital were done with the residents to celebrate the Islamic New Year. This was followed by refreshments where 30 of PTP volunteers enjoyed a meal together with 70 of the residents and played board games to cheer the residents.

After handing over necessities such as rice, flour, cooking oil, diapers and among others, a ‘gotong-royong’ was conducted where volunteers cleaned the dormitories of the residents and general area of the home.

Throughout the years, PTP has been actively conducting various CSR efforts such as providing Container Library for SK Ladang Pendas, distributing Bubur Lambuk Distribution to community, Back to School Programme, and many more. The programs not only help the development of sustainable community but also as an avenue for PTP staff to continuously give back to the community via CSR activities.
