On 27 September 2022, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a Member of MMC Group has successfully hosted PTP Safety Day 2022. The event was jointly officiated by Osman bin Hj Isa, Deputy Director of DOSH Johor and Marco Neelsen Chief Executive Officer PTP in an opening ceremony held at 8A rest area.
This year’s PTP Safety Day highlights the theme “We Learn and Adapt” where learning constantly is needed to understand about daily work conditions that can influence safety risk and adapting it by putting the right safeguards and practices in place to keep people safe. To commemorate this year’s theme, new Rules to Live By and new lasher uniform was launched as part as PTP proactive measure in ensuring the safety of staff working in the terminal.
In addition to the launching ceremony, the one-day celebration included exhibition booths set up by government agencies such as DOSH, MOH, SOCSO and by PTP staff, as well as health screenings, blood donations, food trucks and Zumba session in the evening.
The organization of PTP Safety Day 2022, reinforces PTP’s commitments towards ensuring a safe working place for its employees and all terminal users.
