On 7 July 2022, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, won the ‘Procurement Team of The Year – Small Org’ at the CIPS Asia Excellence in Procurement Awards 2022.
Organised by Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and ProcureCon, the CIPS Asia Excellence in Procurement Awards was held during the Procurecon Asia Summit at Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.
Received by Dr Irwana Abd Malek, Head of Supply Chain PTP, the award is the most prestigious recognition an organisation or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession could receive.
In addition to the award, Dr Irwana Abd Malek was also shortlisted as Leader of the Year alongside with other nominees from Kalbe Digital, Indonesia and GEODIS, Singapore.
PTP’s Supply Chain Division has been implementing various initiatives such as Inventory Cost Reduction Strategy, Optimisation of Spare Parts Purchasing with Inventory Categorisation and others in their commitment to provide and improve the service level for internal and external stakeholders.
This momentous achievement is a testament to their hard work and agility amidst the current challenging business environment of today.
