Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a Member of MMC Group recently organised its Town Hall session at the Oasis Training Hall, Johor Port.
The event, with the objectives of cascading information on the Company’s performance and a Sharing Session by Johor Port’s Chairman YBhg Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, saw participation from nearly 300 employees, comprising both Management and Non-Management personnel of Johor Port. Also present to grace the occasion were Badrulhisyam Fauzi, Group Chief Financial Officer of MMC Corporation Berhad and Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port.
The event began with a presentation by Md Derick Basir on the year-to-date performance and achievements of the Company up to July 2022 and followed by the launch of the Recovering Stronger campaign to inspire all Johor Port employees to work together in defying the unprecedented challenges since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions which have caused serious disruptions to ports globally.
The Town Hall then saw YBhg Tan Sri Che Khalib delivering his Sharing Session by sharing his aspirations for the Company and encouraging all employees to generate ideas on how to move forward together in hitting bigger milestones in the future, while at the same time providing them with the opportunity to interact with him during the Question & Answer session.
At the end of the interactive engagement session, the event proceeded with a brief celebration of the festive Merdeka season with all Johor Port employees. Representing the Management and Non-Management personnel, in particular the Operations team, Thiagu Krishnan, Head of Operations Division and Suratmin Alwee, Union President both received their Jalur Gemilang flags from Johor Port Chairman during the celebration, followed by affixing the Jalur Gemilang flags on the Company’s ambulance and patrol vehicles as a symbolic celebration of the Merdeka Day.
