Welcome to the third edition of The Hub 2022.

This quarter, members of MMC Group have completed 42 activities that cover 31 business engagement, 6 of stakeholder engagements and 5 corporate social responsibility initiatives.

In early September 2022, MMC Group was honored to have YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri launch the Pulau Bunting Integrated Development of Gas Supply Centre and Power Plant in Yan, Kedah. The momentous event was also witnessed by the Menteri Besar of Kedah, YAB Dato’ Seri Haji Mohammad Sanusi Md Nor and other distinguished guests such as ministers, Kedah EXCOs, Federal and State Government officers and more than 15,000 people from surrounding areas. MMC Group’s investment worth RM14.4 billion in Kedah will make the state an attractive investment destination and change the economic landscape which is currently dependent on the agriculture sector.

In the central region, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah had gracefully consented to officiate the launch of Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) at Pulau Indah, Port Klang. PKCT is one of the few cruise terminals in the region capable of handling large modern cruise and navy vessels comfortably, with a reputation for efficient port services and convenient facilities and amenities for both cruise passengers and crew.

Under the corporate social responsibility initiative, MMC’s operating companies in Johor namely Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Johor Port, Malakoff and Senai Airport City continued to support the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation in collecting funds for cancer fighters and raising cancer awareness through its annual charity event called Laksamana Neon Charity Run. This year, the charity event received participants from more than 5,500 runners with over 50 sponsors to support the goodwill cause.
