On 20 January 2025, Kontena Nasional Berhad (Kontena Nasional), a member of the MMC Group, proudly hosted an educational visit for 23 students pursuing a Diploma in Food Technology (Halal Management) from Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Kuantan (POLISAS) at its Headquarters Office. The initiative aimed to introduce students to Kontena Nasional’s business operations, providing firsthand exposure to the logistics industry, with a particular focus on Halal logistics and its significance in the supply chain.
Led by the accompanying lecturer, Noor Shahida Mat Nawawi, the visit was part of the students’ practical learning activities, focusing on the logistics processes managed by Kontena Nasional to ensure the delivery of customers’ products of the highest quality. The students also gained insights into Halal logistics.
The visit began with an informative briefing on the company’s background, presented by Mohamed Afiz Mohamed, Account Director of the Sales Department. This was followed by a session on Halal Logistics, delivered by Akmal Arif Semawi, Section Head of Quality. The students then embarked on a comprehensive tour of the operational areas, led by Nizam Izhan Md Nor, Warehouse Assistant Manager, and assisted by Nurul Ain, Executive in Warehouse and Distribution. During the tour, they had the opportunity to observe the warehouse in full operation and learn about the integration of e-commerce in logistics.
The visit provided the students with valuable insights, highlighting Kontena Nasional’s commitment to fostering local educational growth and its role as a responsible corporate entity in supporting community development.
