Penang Port Welcomes the European Union Delegation

On 12 February 2025, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, hosted a visit from the European Union (EU) delegation led by His Excellency Rafael Daerr, the EU Ambassador to Malaysia. Nazri Ismail, Head of the Division of Commercial and Stakeholder Management, warmly welcomed the delegation and facilitated knowledge-sharing discussions.

During the visit, Penang Port engaged in a insights exchange about the port operations, facilities, and commitment to innovation. The delegation also shared their perspectives on best practices and emerging trends within the global shipping industry.

The visit concluded with both Penang Port and the EU delegation expressing their strong interest in continuing the dialogue and in potential future collaborations, recognising the mutual benefits for both parties. By strengthening ties and collaborating, both Penang Port and EU share common goals in the port sector.
