Senai International Airport ushered in the Chinese New Year spirit on 28 January 2025 with its annual mandarin orange giveaway, a beloved tradition by Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB) to symbolise prosperity and good fortune. The giveaway was led by Cik Noor Safura Suib, General Manager of the Commercial Division, on behalf of the SATSSB Management team. Her warm interactions with passengers added a personal touch, creating light and joyful moments as travellers prepared to reunite with loved ones for the festive season.

This year's celebration came amidst a surge in travel demand, with AirAsia operating 60 additional flights for both departures and arrivals beginning 24 January until 3 February 2025. These extra flights served six domestic destinations, including Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Tawau, Miri, Sibu, and Penang, ensuring travellers could reunite with their families and friends during the holidays.

To accommodate the increased passenger volume, SATSSB took proactive steps to enhance the travel experience. The airport extended its operational hours, ensured facilities were in top-notch condition, and introduced new food and beverage outlets, including CU Mart, ZUS Coffee, Miyakori, and Empire Sushi. Passengers also benefited from the opening of new retail shops offering telco services and travel essentials, adding convenience and variety to their journey.

With festive cheer in the air and thorough preparations in place, Senai International Airport ensured passengers started their journeys with smiles and good fortune. Wishing everyone safe travels and heartwarming reunions this festive season!
