On 18 January 2025, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, was honoured to welcome Takahashi Katsunori, State Minister for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, and H.E. Shikata Noriyuki, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, along with their esteemed delegation to PTP.
The guests were warmly welcomed by Mark Hardiman, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, and Nasution Saad Putra Saad, Head of Government Liaison and Free Zone Authority. Also presented were Tuan Haji Rosnan Fathlal, Chairman of Johor Port Authority (LPJ), along with representatives from both PTP and LPJ.
The visit featured an in-depth tour of PTP's world-class terminal, where the Minister, Ambassador and their team gained valuable insights into PTP’s operational efficiency, innovations and ongoing improvements, alongside the company’s steadfast commitment to sustainability.
Through engaging discussions, PTP, LPJ, and the delegation explored potential avenues for future collaboration, with an emphasis on enhancing trade and logistics with Japan, aiming to optimise supply chains and foster sustainable growth in the industry within this region.
