On 23 January 2025, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration for elderly residents at Home Town Care Centre Teluk Pulai, Klang.
The programme was conducted with the support from Northport's Third Party Administrator ("TPA"), PMCare Sdn Bhd, and in collaboration with several organisations including Klang Pantai Hospital, which provided a health screening such as blood pressure checks, glucose and cholesterol tests, Body Mass Index ("BMI") assessments and body composition analysis. Meanwhile, MySole Solutions provided 3D foot scanning service for accurate measurements and balance assessments to cater to the mobility needs of the elderly residents.
In preparation for the celebration, TeamNorthport decorated the premises with Chinese New Year decorations to share the joy of the celebration with the residents. Apart from that, lawn mowing and cleaning services were also provided by Northport's contractor, Fast Track Cleaning Services.
The Home Town Care Centre, located in Teluk Pulai, Klang, houses 10 female residents and 8 male residents aged between 80 and 96 years old. The care facility, which was established in 2016, is registered under the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia.
The CSR programme was part of Northport's initiatives to engage with the elderly community while celebrating Malaysia's rich cultural diversity. This effort highlights Northport's holistic approach to Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") principles and stands as a testament to its dedication as a responsible corporate organization.
