On 28 January 2025, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport), a member of MMC Group, hosted a working visit from the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) to key development areas in Johor under the Public-Private Collaboration Project (Projek Kerjasama Awam Swasta). The visit, led by Tuan Muhammad Razman Abu Samah, Director General of UKAS, highlighted the progress of impactful projects driving economic growth in the state.
The delegation began the two-day visit on 26 January 2025 with a tour to Senai–Desaru Expressway project, followed by a briefing at the Pelepas Free Zone Area at Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd on 27 January 2025. The sessions underscored Johor’s growing connectivity and its strategic role in Malaysia’s logistics sector.
The highlight of the visit was on 28 January 2025, when the delegation stopped at Senai International Airport before returning to Putrajaya. The group was warmly welcomed at the Senai Business Aviation Terminal (SBAT) by Kennedy Ayu, Chief Executive Officer of Senai International Airport, and other senior management members.
During the visit, the Senai International Airport team provided a comprehensive overview of the airport's current progress and future development plans. Key highlights include infrastructure enhancements, strategies to drive passenger growth, and initiatives to establish the airport as a leading aviation hub in the southern region. The delegation was then taken on an airport tour to further familiarise with the facility.
The session concluded with a group photo session and an exchange of mementos, symbolising the strong collaboration between UKAS and Senai International Airport in advancing Johor's development agenda.
