On 3 January 2025, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport), a member of MMC Group, warmly welcomed representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines which included Roussel R. Reyes, Minister and Consul General of the Embassy of the Philippines, together with Jesher Micha M. Carolino, Cultural Officer, and Clarissa Marie G. Villamor, Attaché for a courtesy visit. The visit was part of the preparatory activities for the upcoming ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025, in Johor.
Tuan Gunasegeran Sangoo, Assistant General Manager of Security & Safety at Senai International Airport, led the visit. He facilitated a site visit and provided a comprehensive overview of the airport’s facilities and key areas that will play a pivotal role in the movement of delegates during the prestigious event.
The ATF is an annual showcase of Southeast Asia as a unified travel destination, that brings together tourism ministers, government representatives, industry leaders, and media from all ten ASEAN nations. This year's theme, ‘Unity In Motion: Shaping Asean's Tourism Tomorrow’ underscores the region’s collective vision for sustainable tourism growth and collaboration.
The discussions during the visit focused on coordination planning, including an in-depth understanding of the airport's safety and security protocols. The aim was to ensure a seamless experience for the delegates and distinguished guests attending the forum.
As the gateway to Johor, Senai International Airport is committed to supporting the success of ATF 2025. The courtesy visit marked a significant step in fostering collaboration between stakeholders and ensuring the forum's objectives align with the vision of promoting ASEAN as a dynamic and unified travel destination.
