On 24 January 2025, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, was honoured to receive a courtesy call from EPIC Berhad and the Kemaman Port Authority, led by YB Datuk Haji Ahmad Amzad bin Mohamed @ Hashim, Board Director of EPIC Berhad and Member of Parliament for Kuala Terengganu, along with Dr. Ts. Hj. Muhtar bin Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer, and Wan Mohd Azilah bin Wan Abdullah, Group Chief Financial Officer of EPIC Berhad, accompanied by the management teams from both EPIC Berhad and Kemaman Port Authority.
Welcoming the delegation were Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz bin Shahar, Group Advisor of the Albukhary Foundation, along with Mark Hardiman, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, Prakash Thurairasasingam, Head of Commercial, and representatives from both MMC Group and PTP.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to observe in detail the operations of Malaysia's largest transshipment hub and gain deeper insights into the factors that contribute to the port’s efficiency, which has positioned PTP as one of the world’s Top five most efficient ports. The delegation also had the chance to witness first-hand the real-time operations within PTP's terminal during their port tour.
The delegates expressed their delight with the knowledge exchange during the visit, praising PTP’s advanced technological capabilities, smart and digital solutions, and commending the port’s significant progress towards sustainable growth.
